Why AI Policy Matters
WHY THIS WORK MATTERS

AI policies are being written today. Everyone deserves a seat at the table.

Artificial Intelligence is transforming how people work, learn, build businesses, access services and participate in the economy. The decisions being made today about how AI is governed, whose data informs it and how it is adopted will shape opportunity and quality of life for generations.

Yet many communities remain underrepresented in the research, policy and governance conversations guiding these decisions. Without broader participation, AI systems and policies risk overlooking the experiences, needs and potential of the people they affect.

Black AI Centre brings credible evidence, diverse perspectives and lived experience into AI research and policy conversations. We work to ensure that responsible innovation creates opportunity, strengthens public trust and advances shared prosperity across Canada and beyond.
