Black AI Centre equips Black and underserved communities with the skills, networks and opportunities to learn, innovate, build, lead and own in the AI economy.
Black AI Centre is an inclusive and responsible AI platform dedicated to equipping Black and underserved communities with the knowledge, practical skills, networks and opportunities required to thrive in the rapidly evolving AI economy. Our work goes beyond AI education. We connect learning with workforce development, business adoption, entrepreneurship, research, responsible AI, mentorship and ecosystem collaboration. Through these interconnected pathways, we help individuals and organizations move from awareness to practical application, innovation, leadership and ownership.
We bring together learners, professionals, founders, businesses, researchers, educators, policymakers, investors, employers and community organizations to exchange knowledge, build solutions and expand access to opportunities. Our ambition is to ensure Black communities are not only users of artificial intelligence, but also builders, founders, researchers, educators, policymakers, investors and leaders shaping its future.
Our story is rooted in years of supporting Black professionals, entrepreneurs, businesses, youth and communities to develop skills, navigate economic change and access new opportunities.
As artificial intelligence began transforming work, business, education, research and public policy, we recognized that access to technology alone would not create meaningful inclusion. Communities also need practical skills, trusted networks, mentorship, capital, research opportunities and representation in the spaces where AI is designed, governed and funded.
Black AI Centre brings these pathways together through an integrated platform for education, workforce development, entrepreneurship, responsible AI, research, business adoption and ecosystem collaboration.
We are building on this experience to ensure Black and underserved communities can do more than adapt to the AI economy. They must have the opportunity to participate in it, benefit from it and help shape its future.
Artificial intelligence is reshaping careers, businesses, education, research, public services and economic opportunity. Black communities bring the talent, ideas and leadership needed to help shape this future, but access to the networks, capital, skills and decision-making spaces surrounding AI remains unequal. Meaningful participation requires access to:
